Started Dogs

Morning Sun Labrador Retrievers develop into excellent hunting companions, hunt test competitors or loyal family members.    We would be happy to provide additional references upon request.  All Morning Sun dogs are well socialized, vet checked, vaccinated and have begun obedience and gun dog training.  Our dogs, just like our puppies, are guaranteed 100% for health and temperament.

These dogs are out of our recent matching of WR Tablerock's Last Action Hero, SH WC and SR Morning Sun Liza, JH.  This was an exceptional litter of 10 black and yellow pups whelped on July 28, 2009.

These dogs are started on obedience and field work, introduced to birds and water and have been housetrained.  All Morning Sun bred dogs are guaranteed 100% for health and temperament.

Some information about the sire/dam:
Slater is an outstanding young sire that has an exceptional pedigree. Slater is a remarkably talented retriever, has an infectious personality, and is a delight to be around. He is OFA Excellent, Elbows normal, CNM clear, and is current on CERF. He has hunted upland birds in South Dakota and Kansas and has proved to be an intense hunter with a great nose. He loves cold water and crashes the water whether the first or last retrieve. Slater is currently running at the AKC Master level.  He recently passed the Master stake at the Back Bay Knotts Island (BBKI) AKC Hunt Test.  

Liza is a special young female out of GMHR Deep Run Jail House Rock, MH, (Rocky) and one of our foundation females GMHR Morning Sun Zena. Liza is gentle in her personality, yet tenacious as a retriever. She is naturally a great marking dog, very eager to please and great with children and other dogs.
